Having never been to visit I wondered what made the Arizona Railway Museum so special. I see on their website's "Equipment Roster" that they have a phenominal collection with over six locomotives, over ten passenger cars, and over twenty freight cars and cabooses.
It's nice to see that seventeen different states had museums in the top twenty, with only California and Arizona placing multiple times. Also nice to see amix around the country, with museums on each coast and scattered throughout the country. So, get out and see some of these twenty fantastic museums - or perhaps one of the many other fascinating rail museums all over the USA!
I compiled this list by searching for the railroading museums listed on a number of search engines and ranking them by the number of web pages, discussion forums, photos, videos, etc that are available online.
