Evergreen Trees :: How To Properly Shorten It?
* I have 2 evergreen trees about 14ft tall
* They are starting to lean away from the bricked home (starting 5 feet from top)
QUESTION - I am willing to shorten the tress BUT what is the proper way to cut it by 5 feet AND retain the pyramid shape?
Depends on the type. In my area, evergreens grow so fast, I just cut them down every year about 1 foot from the ground and they grow back in a couple years.
They will always lean away from the house... they move towards more light.
