How do I create a 3D model from a 2D drawing?
I have solidworks 2008, for some reason the 3D model that was used to create the drawing is gone and I need the model for a presentation. I would prefer not to have to remake the model. Can SW recreate the model somehow from the drawing?

nope, you'll have to remodel it. depending on the geometry of the part, if you have an accurate 2D cad drawing of the part, you can probably import the silhouette and either extrude or revolve it. that would give you a head start on modelling it.
