If the extremely expensive race cars are out of your financial reach but you love how the BMW, Volvo or Porsche super cars race in the competitions, there just might be a cheaper alternative for you. If you buy a RC nitro car made exactly in the model of your dream racing car, then you can actually compete in races with it. RC nitro car races are very popular and although they may not be the same as racing with the real cars in a world rally, it still can be a very exciting race indeed.
Remote controlled cars have come a long way from being just a child's toy car to becoming exact imitations of actual racing cars with even the nitrous boost enabled engines incorporated in them. The technology used in these cars have advanced up to such a level that adults often find it to be their favorite pastime hobby to modify their favorite RC nitro cars and then race them. The popularity of such cars have reached such a level that the makers of the actual world famous race cars are making their miniature versions in the form of RC nitro cars.
The races and competitions that are held for these cars can now be joined by you with the help of your local RC nitro car club. Join a RC car club to know more about these competitions and the RC nitro cars and if you can not find one near you, then just join a club online. The best part about the remote controlled cars is the fact that even the better ones among these replicas cost a few hundred dollars while the actual car of your dreams may cost you a few thousand dollars.
A RC nitro car may cost you only 300 dollars or so, but get it further customized with spoilers, your favorite paint and a few other accessories to ready your little race car for the big races. The modifications may cost you a few hundred dollars more but the best customized car of your choice will be finished within 700 to 800 dollars at best. These cars are actually amazingly lifelike, what is even more amazing is the fact that they can whip up speeds of 70 mph with their small but efficient motors. An acceleration rate of 0-60mph in 3 seconds or less is not child's play at all! It is serious racing involving some serious speed.
The RC nitro cars won't make you bankrupt, but the lifelike models with their amazing torque and speed will let you feel the thrill of a car race. For many, owning a race car or driving one is an unachievable dream and this is possibly the closest that they will get to feeling the tension of a race and besides, it is a great pastime that will make both you and the kids in the house happy. Choose a "monster truck" or a brand new "Lamborghini", customize it in whatever way that you wish to and race it, because you are probably going to enjoy it a lot.
