A hot tub can either be a small hand-made or manufactured tub that's serves as a small pool to submerge and soak your body for a relaxing feeling. Some hot tubs have jets that help in massaging the body. These hot tubs are commonly located outside under a shade.
Regular hot tubs maintenance will enable you to prolong the life and efficiency of your baths. To get the maximum care for your bath, make sure you read any manuals and instructions that come with it. Do not to experiment on fixing your tub, or even think about mixing solutions to clean the tub, if it's not your area of expertise. Water treatment should be based on a standard procedure of maintaining your hot tub.
- Sanitising level - Sanitising is very important since it's an effective way to maintain your tub. It kills bacteria in the water and prevents the growth of algae. The water in your hot tub has a standard pH level and you can always find a water treatment in the market that has fewer odours.
- Oxidise - Oxidising minimises odour and wastes that come from the human body such as perspiration, make up and body oil. These chemicals contribute a lot in decreasing the water's cleanliness and safety.
- Filters - Maintenance for your hot tub also includes regular cleaning or changing of your filters. This will minimise scaling and gradual deterioration of the tub.
- Drain and refill - One thing you can do to have a fresh load of bath water is to drain and refill it with a new one. We may be treating the hot tub water properly, but over time, it will accumulate dirt, dust and pollutants that are not safe for the body.
- Waterline clearing - When doing your maintenance, you will notice accumulated oil and debris on the waterline. You can easily dissolve and clean this by applying cleaning paste to the waterline. Cleaning the waterline will remove the nasty appearance of discolouration along the brim making it look dirty.
- Choose the proper fragrance - Putting fragrance into your tub can affect the foaming. Choose those that are highly recommended and proven to do the job of providing sweet smelling steam, without too much foaming.
- Water quality - Discolouration of the water in the tub is caused by particles suspended in the water, by treating this properly with something like spa sparkle, it can bring your water to sparkling clarity.
When performing hot tubs maintenance, avoid mixing chemicals. Apply only those that are recommended and instructed. Do not allow your water to exceed 40 degrees Celsius to prevent scalding. If children are present, an adult should be on guard.
During maintenance, there'sapresence of chemicals in the water. Pregnant women should consult their physicians to ensure safety in using the tub. These chemicals can also affect those who are suffering cardiovascular conditions and people who have high blood pressure. If you suffer any of these illnesses, consult your doctor.
