Why many vehicles in the German army have animal names?
I see it's a tradition in the german army to have military vehicles/aircraft with animal names.
We have the most famous ones in WW2, the big cats (Tiger heavy tank, Panther medium tank, Puma armored car), Elephant tank destroyer, Hummel SP howitzer, Wespe light howitzer and Nashorn SP AT gun
Now in Bundeswehr we have the Wiesel AWC, the Gepard SP AA gun (big cats, anyone?), the SpPz Fuchs APC, the Leopard tank (yet another big cat), the Puma IFV (yes Puma is back) , the TAF Dingo IMV , the SPz Marder.Also the Tiger is back, this time as an helicopter.We also have the AS 532 Cougar, another helicopter.
I don't see any other country with so many millitary vehicles having animal names, so why does Germany uses so many ?
All have animal names because they equate that to there women. and the skin heads.
