My miniature schnauzer is jealous or wants to eat my bunny?
I bought a female bunny today and when I brought it home my schnauzer started going crazy! He kept sniffing her all around and licking her and he kept on getting horny! I don't know what to do, he's only 7 months old. Every time I let the bunny out he goes after her and starts sniffing and licking her. He also cries and watches her in her cage. Is this normal for my dog to do this? He's been around animals before but idk what's making him act weird about this bunny.
....shit, yeah I might just bring the bunny back.
YES it is normal for a schnauzer. Schnauzers are working dogs. They were originally bred to rid the yards of vermin such as rats and mice. You can train your schnauzer to leave the puppy alone, but it will take a lot of work. Watch 'the Dog Whisperer' on National Geographic channel, or get some of Cesar Millan's books from the library or from amazon.com and find out how to train your dog to leave things alone when you tell him to.
I hate to be the one to tell you, but eventually your dog may eat your rabbit or your rabbit will die of fright.
