Those sturdy, bearded little warriors mining their way through most fantasy stories make great characters in many of the free flash titles online. If you love dwarves and would like to play an entertaining game featuring them, take a look at the suggestions below. These dwarves games are listed in no specific order.

Fate Of The Dwarf: Waves of monsters are attacking your village, and as a good warrior dwarf, you need to stop them. Protected by a force-shield and toting a cannon and potion-, rock- or fire-ammo you need to aim fast and shoot far. The zombies, werewolves and other creatures will doggedly try to break through your shield. Every time you kill a monster, you get a little spirit, and when your spirit gauge fills to certain points, you can call an ancestor to whack the creeps with wind or thunder. When your ammunition runs out (and it will - fast), you can get more from the merchant in the top corner - you can strengthen your cannon and shield there too.

Dwarf On A Wharf: This cartoony, funny, cute game is ridiculously addictive. Several dwarves have missed their ship, and you, a couple of burly but friendly dockworkers and a large rubber band are going to set this to rights before the ship reaches the open seas. For some reason, each dwarf appears to hail from a different country and drops a funny one-liner just before you catapult him (hopefully) onto the ship. Sounds simple, but it is far trickier than it seems. You must account for the dwarf's weight, the wind speed, the ship's position and the speed it is traveling when you aim your little blighter ocean-wards. Bouncing off a seagull or two will grab you bonus points.

Dwarf Village: This farming title is similar to the Harvest Moon series available on consoles. You are a red-capped dwarf who must tend a farm in order to win a Best Farm Award. Planting and watering crops, raising livestock, socializing in the village and entering competitions and festivals are your main activities. The focus on managing time and resources makes for a relaxing, interesting experience.

Deadly Dwarves: This shooter is super-fast and will satisfy those with itchy trigger-fingers. You must shoot waves of crazy knife-throwing dwarves as they pop up from behind rocks, trees, before they turn you into a pincushion. Pick up aid packages (you will need them) and get those maniacs as fast as you can.

Snow White Painting: This is one for the kiddies. Have fun coloring in a picture of Disney's Snow White and a couple of her dwarf buddies.

The games above may offer vastly different types of game play, but they are alike in three ways: they are free, they are fun and they feature at least one dwarf. All of these dwarves games are also very easy to find on the internet.
